You can even specify what type of data you are looking for. This software has comes out with two main method of scanning the lost data:
1. Basic scanning. This type of recovering mode is to be used when the data lost within few days of hours. Time taken for complete scanning is fast. However, the percentage of successful recovery is low. If you still can't get your data, you can proceed to the next scanning mode.
2. Deep scan method. Recuva will scan the whole computer storage media thoroughly. It is a time consuming method but the percentage of recovery is high. As I told before, I used to recover my data by using this method and it is a big successful. Almost all my lost data can be recovered.
